Visual Arts

Our Visual Arts program offers encourages self-expression and creative exploration with opportunities for students at all levels, from beginning to advanced. Scholars take part in hands-on exploration in painting, sculpture and drawing as well as in-depth classes in art history.

Scholars actively participate with creative work through exposing scholars to a wide range of creative talent and encouraging a rich appreciation of the arts. Scholars engage with creative professionals and visit local artists in their studios, explore museums and galleries and participating in community projects.

A number of Haas Hall scholars have received recognition for their work— for example, a scholar won second place (and a cash award) at the Spring Creek Art Festival. Another scholar was included in Photographer’s Forum’s Best of College and High School Photography.
