As a reminder, Hidden Figures is one of the 7th grade summer reading books this year. There are two versions of this book currently in circulation. The English department would prefer that your scholar read Hidden Figures: Young Reader’s edition.

We already purchased the original edition, and my son is half way through it.. Do we now need to purchase the young reader’s edition, and have him start over?

    Thank You,
    J.T.

No, you do not need to repurchase. It’s completely fine for him to finish the one he has. We just wanted to clarify because there are two copies available.
      Thank you!

Is the reading list for 8th grade the same from last year? I can only find the 2017-2018 list.

I do believe the 8th grade books are the same from last year, they are:
Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters’ First 100 Years, Sarah and Elizabeth Delany with Amy Hearth and
March: Book One by John Lewis, Andrew Aydin, and Nate Powell
The 2018/2019 Required Reading List is listed on the web site: under the “Parents” tab, then “Resources”, then “Required Reading”.
      Thank you!
