Dear Parents and Guardians,
Earlier today the Task Force consulted with the state departments of health and education because of the high number of faculty/staff absences at and the shortage of substitute teachers for the Rogers campus.
Because of these issues, Haas Hall Academy at the Lane will transition to Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) for two days — Jan. 13-14. In-person instruction will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
Instruction on the AMI days will be virtual and synchronous. Scholars will log into their Google Classrooms and use the “Join” button to connect with their classes in real time.
- First Block — 8:00-9:28 a.m.
- Second Block — 9:30-10:58 a.m.
- Third Block — 11:30 a.m.-12:58 p.m.
- Fourth Block — 1:00-2:28 p.m.
Before the end of the day today (Jan. 12), scholars who do not have a device at home will be given the opportunity to check out a school Chromebook for use during AMI. School-owned devices will need to be returned in working order on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
Clubs and sports scheduled for Jan. 13 and Jan. 14 are canceled.
No breakfast or lunch will be served on Jan. 13 or Jan. 14.
Please remember, all campuses will be closed in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 17.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
