AP Research Project: Marketing Approaches and Consumer Habits–Participants Requested

Have you ever thought about your grocery shopping habits? Why would you buy that specific snack at the convenience store,or what you might buy for the week?

Hello! I’m Lourdes Segura, and I’m an AP Research scholar researching the marketing of processed foods. My goal is to further understand why we buy the foods and snacks that we do, specifically processed foods. Many consumers buy processed foods that they know are unhealthy for them, despite the negative consequences that may come later, such as obesity, diabetes and/or numerous medical conditions. My research explores whether he compulsion to buy processed foods may be due to corporate marketing tactics Finding which tactics influence Americans to gravitate to these foods will help us better understand what types of marketing most influence consumers’ buying habits
