To Scholars in Mrs. Kate’s AP Lang. & Composition Class:
It’s that time of year again, and we need to starting preparing for the AP Language and Composition exam, which will take place on the morning of Wednesday, May 16th. Please note that these prep. sessions are mandatory, but the dates and times of each are still somewhat flexible.
Our first test prep. session will take place this Saturday, March 3rd, and our first session will likely be our longest. (To see what you can bring for our first session, visit: https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/ap-coordinators/on-exam-day/what-students-can-cannot-bring .) You’ll need to arrive no later than 9:30 a.m., and our session will end sometime between noon and 12:30, depending on how long it takes for us to work our way through the directions and how long we break between sections. My idea is that we’ll treat this like the real exam, which, less the reading of the directions and breaks, scholars have 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete.
Subsequent test prep. sessions will take place on the following dates:
Saturday, March 31st;
Saturday, April 14th;
Saturday, April 28th; and, finally,
Saturday, May 5th.
(The dates above are proposed, the hope being that they will not conflict with your work schedules and/or other AP test prep. sessions. However, should any of these dates conflict with your schedules, please be sure to swing by Mrs. Kate’s room and discuss.)
See you this Saturday, Scholars! Should you have any questions in the meantime, please email Mrs. Kate (email@example.com).
