This Thursday, September 2, 2021, Arkansas Global Changemakers will be meeting for the first time in Ms. Kilgus’ room from 2:30 to 3:30. Arkansas Global Changemakers is a student-led organization, modeled after the University of Arkansas AGC mission, that identifies and raises awareness about issues that affect both the global and local scale, apply critical thinking to find creative solutions, and to enter into dialogue with communities to engage in innovative problem-solving. If you are interested in learning about global issues or are looking for volunteer opportunities, AGC will be covering these topics.
AGC will have a variety of guest speakers, text, volunteer service projects, and problem-solving exercises throughout the year to learn about issues on the global/local scale.
For our first study unit, we will be learning about Climate Change and its effects. The club is open to 7-12 graders and is open to anyone who wants to join. If you are interested, please join the google classroom with this code: fsqteix
It will last from 2:30pm to 3:00pm and will be both in-person and virtual. If you have any questions, please email at [email protected] or [email protected] or just post a comment in google classroom. We hope to see you there!
