Junior Quiz Bowl is starting up again! An informational meeting will be held this Thursday, September 8th, in Mr. Stout’s room (108) at 2:35. We need members from grades 7-9 who are strong in multiple different categories, from pop culture to literature, to science! Congratulations to Haas Hall Fayetteville’s Junior Quiz Bowl team! This season, they tied for first at the Regionals tournament, and tied for third at the State tournament. Parents of tenth grade scholars are needed to volunteer transportation to and from Olive Garden on March 13th at 11:00 am. We’re relying on private vehicles for transportation this time and scholars are not permitted to drive themselves, so we will need many volunteers. Remember: scholars’ permission slips are due no later than this Friday. Please see the permission slip
Friday detentions are back in effect, starting this week, in Mr. Stout’s room. Scholars are expected to serve detentions at the first available opportunity. However, scholars who need to attend tutoring Monday through Thursday have the option of scheduling Friday detention instead. Haas Hall Fayetteville’s Junior Quiz Bowl team came in Second Place at the 2A AGQBA Junior High Regional Tournament in Harrison on Tuesday. Additionally, three students qualified for Jr. Quiz Bowl All-Stars: Jake Bodishbaugh, Sohan Prabhudesai, and Eric Wilkins! Congratulations to everyone on the team for a great tournament!
