Chess Club meets Friday from 2:30-3. This week we will start our ladder competition but will also offer lessons for new players and free play for players who do not want to join the ladder.

Whether you want to learn to play chess, improve your game, or just have fun playing against other scholars, we have a place for you. This is an informal club, so you can come whenever you like, any Friday from 2:30-3pm.

This week, several HHA Springdale Scholars won awards from Arkansas Scholastic Press Association for their work in Footnotes, HHA’s all-campus literary magazine. Mallory French won for best essay, Faith Gaston earned an honorable mention for poetry, and Micaela Morano won for best fiction.
