Deadline–AP English Language and Composition Sign-Up Deadline

As you are aware, due to unforeseen circumstances, scholars who are enrolled in AP English Language and Composition at the Bentonville and Springdale campuses have a non-traditional AP examination preparation this year.

Note: The last day to sign-up for the Saturday practice exam is Tuesday, April 26th, 2022, by 5:00 p.m.

Scholars have been taking practice examinations in-class in lieu of our typical afternoon and/or weekend test preparation sessions.

Following each exam, scholars are given the answers with full explanations, including the skill(s) aligned with the question number for each multiple-choice prompt. Also, Mrs. Kate, who is the English Department Head at Bentonville, has unlocked all publically available test prep. questions for all Bentonville and Springdale APLAC scholars through scholars’ College Board accounts so that they may maximize their potential, focusing on their respective areas of greatest progress.

To ensure that all scholars are ready for their APLAC exam, scholars must complete the following tasks:

1. Complete all of the multiple-choice and essay portions of the exams;
2. After doing so, scholars need to score their exams, identifying and aligning the missed questions with the skill(s) being assessed; and, finally,
3. Scholars must spend, at least, thirty (30) minutes per night studying their respective areas of concern/progress, focusing on the skill alignment that is identified for the course and the end-of-course examination.

Also, please know that we are attempting to put together an on-site examination that will be administered in real time (in a simulated testing environment). This proposed test-prep. session, if possible, will take place at the Bentonville campus at 8:00 a.m., Saturday, April 30th, 2022. However, to make this possible, we would need a majority of all scholars enrolled in APLAC to attend.
