Dogs Needed for AP Research Study!

Dogs are needed to be walked for an AP Research project examining the different, harmless effects that various types of collars and harnesses have on dogs while being walked or trained. The training will consist of basic commands, such as “sit” or “stay,” and dogs will be trained using the reward-based training method where they receive treats after successfully obeying commands.

If you choose to have your dog participate, you will be asked to bring your dog to the Bentonville Bark Park at a designated time where I will train and walk the dogs along the walking trails and area around the park using nylon, leather, and polyester collars and harnesses.

To participate you must:

– Own a dog

– Be comfortable with another person walking and training your dog for the purposes of an AP Research project

– Be able to transport your dog to the Bentonville Bark Park during the designated time

– Sign a participant consent form

If you are willing to participate in my research, please email me, the student researcher, at the following email address: andrewmaurras@gmail.com

Should you have any questions or concerns about the legitimacy of this research project, please do not hesitate to contact, the research advisor, Mrs. Katherine Cochran (katherinecochran@haashall.org), and Headmaster, Dr. Rod Wittenberg (rodwittenberg@haashall.org).

You and your dog’s participation and/or any sharing of this survey are greatly appreciated!
