EAP Used Clothes Drive

Hello, scholars and faculty!

Did you know that it takes around 1,800 gallons of water to grow enough cotton to produce just one pair of standard denim jeans? Beginning Tuesday, November 8th, the EAP is hosting a clothes drive to reduce the waste and the environmental footprints that come with producing new clothing. The clothing will be donated to the Shelter Shop Thrift Store—a nonprofit organization committed to donating earnings to the NWA Children’s Shelter—and the Beautiful Lives Boutique—a thrift boutique that resells gently-used women’s clothing and donates 100% of their income to local nonprofits that help at-risk women. If you are interested in donating, please bring gently-used clothing of any size. Please ensure that the clothes are clean, and please do not donate any undergarments. You can drop off your donations in the box labeled “EAP Clothes Drive” in the Commons. The final date to donate clothing will be Tuesday, November 22nd.
