Attention Haas Hall Community,
In celebration of April’s Earth Month, the Earth Awareness Project (EAP) of the Bentonville campus will be organizing an Earth Month Challenge. To begin this week, the first challenge is Week 1: Trash Pickup.
To participate in this first challenge, you will need to take a picture of yourself picking up a bag of trash. It’s that easy!
This can be from picking up trash around your neighborhood, a local gas station, a trail, your school, a park, or any location that has trash in need of being cleaned up.
Those who are members of the EAP will need to upload their material onto the Google Classroom assignments. Students outside of the club will email julia.mizner@haashall.org their photos with the title of the email being the week number (1-4), challenge name, and their full name.
Participants will be able to upload their material throughout the month, and they may participate in a few or all of the challenges. All photos and material will need to be uploaded by April 30th.
Throughout the month, everyone’s participation will be kept track of, and the people who have put in the most effort in each challenge will win a prize! For example, the person who picks up the most trash in the first challenge will win a prize for that week.
Some examples of prizes include a reusable water bottle, a reusable shopping bag, soap and/or shampoo bars, or other sustainable items.
This challenge is open to all Haas Hall Academy campuses, so feel free to spread the word!
There will be an announcement each week with a new challenge to participate in.
Should you have any questions, please contact julia.mizner@haashall.org or aditi.shashidhara@haashall.org.
