Fayetteville’s Green Team is Wrapping Up for the Year!

The Fayetteville Green team wants to thank everyone who has supported us this year! We came up a little short for our third attempt at the Green Bench Challenge – collecting an impressive 1,800 #2 HDPE opaque plastic bottles of the 2,000 needed. We are already strategizing about how to ensure success next year.

Our first “sustainable goods” raffle was a huge success, bringing in $170.00 to support the team and raising awareness about the small changes we can make as consumers to contribute to a better future for us all. Thank you again to Buff City Soaps, Goodful Gifting, and our most generous donor, Ozark Natural Foods, for their contributions to the basket. The winner was Fayetteville senior, Tybet New. The winning ticket was pulled earlier this week at the end of what is hopefully the first of many Extracurricular Nights on campus.

Your “Love Your Mother” tees and sweatshirts should arrive prior to the end of the school year and if you ordered from Bentonville, Springdale, or Rogers, your tees and sweatshirts will be delivered to your campus shortly after they arrive in Fayetteville.

Lastly, members and nonmembers are encouraged to join us for our end of year clean up on Friday the 27th from 3-5 PM. We will have snacks and drinks before we hit the trail one last time before summer. Please contact Ms K or Lindsey Sale if you want to join so we have plenty of bags, gloves and snacks.
