Dear HHAB scholars and staff,

Haas Hall Academy Bentonville partnered with Food Loops this school year to reduce food waste and help decrease our school’s environmental impact. As a reminder, the red Food Loops bin is located outside the front doors on the right. All food waste is highly encouraged to go in the bin.

Please note: no plastics, raw meat, trash, disposable gloves, metal, wrappers, bottles, cans, or other materials are allowed in the bin.

The bin is only for food waste, such as:
– Vegetables
– Fruits
– Fruit and vegetable scraps (avocado skins, banana peels, apple cores, melon rinds)
– Nut shells
– Cooked meats
– Breads / grains
– Coffee grounds
– Dairy products

Composting is such a wonderful way to make a positive impact on the environment, so please feel free to use the composting bin to your advantage and divert your food waste from landfills.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to julia.mizner@haashall.org.
