Haas Hall Academy is creating a soccer team! If you have been at Haas Hall Fayetteville for a few years, you are probably thinking, “it has been attempted before, it always fails.”
Well, this time it might just succeed.

HHA Bentonville Booster Club is spearheading the effort. It has reserved a soccer field at the Next Level facility in Springdale, and coach Kendall Spencer from the Comets and the Springdale soccer program is training the team.

My son and I went to the first session last Friday. Twenty Haas Hallians, girls and boys representing all four campuses and ranging from 7th to 10th grade, had already registered and came ready to play!

The plan is to start small and eventually build up to one full team per campus.

As a team combining all 4 campuses, HHA will not be able to enter the AAA, however, the organizer Samantha Aiken plans to, starting next year, contact other charter and private schools in the area to create a new league.

The team meets Fridays (April, 27 to June, 8) from 4:30 to 6:00. If you are interested, come check it out.
If you want to join, wear your PE shirt, cleats or tennis shoes, and shin guards, and bring a size 5 ball and $50 to register.

See you there!
