Haas Scholars help to win State Title

Sunday, May 14th, Conway AR. Four Haas Hall Scholars helped their Springdale United Lacrosse team win the Arkansas High School boys State Championship over two time defending Bentonville High School. Three scholars from Rogers campus, senior Max Kublanov and brothers senior John Martin and sophomore Hal Martin, along with one scholar from Bentonville campus, sophomore Conor Mulligan.

Senior John Martin, goalie, not only led his team to a winning season but had more than 100 saves logged and ended the championship game shutting down Bentonville with a series of back to back saves. He was also named League MVP for 2023.

These scholars not only represent Haas Hall in the hallways of their respective campuses, but they come together with students from other schools to play out of Har-Ber High School, representing not only Springdale United on the field but Haas Hall as well. The play with honor and represent our school on and off the field.

While lacrosse is a relatively new sport to Arkansas it has a long history in North America and is growing rapidly.
