We are very fortunate to have a strong after school music program at the Bentonville campus and it is open to all Haas Hall Scholars. The music programs are provided from a partnership with the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra.
Haas Strings, under the direction of Christy Paxton, will meet on Mondays from 3:30-4:30 beginning on September 10. Fundamentals, theory, and All Region audition prep will be the primary focus. Performances may be scheduled. Open to any Haas Scholar that has at least 1+ years of experience.
Haas Hall Band, under the new direction of Russell Robinson, has two levels available, beginner (1 – 2 years experience) and Advanced (2 + years experience). Currently, Beginning Band is scheduled to meet on Mondays from 3:30-4:30 and Advanced on Thursdays from 3:30-4:30, but is subject to change in the next week or so. Fundamentals, theory, and All Region audition prep will be the primary focus. Performances will be scheduled. Open to any Haas Scholar that has at least 1+ years of experience.
These music programs are designed for students that already have some experience. We are unable to offer lessons for brand new players but can offer assistance in finding a private teacher. **Fine Arts Credit will be given to Strings and Band participants.
