Indian Holi Celebration – A Festival of Colors & Spring!

Culture Club and a few other active scholars are hosting a traditional Indian Holi Celebration to kick off Spring Break! The event will be 2:45-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 16.

Holi celebrates the arrival of spring, the end of winter and is a festive day to play, laugh and have fun. In essence, it is a big free-for-all color powder throwing party where people smear each other’s faces with the color powders and say “Happy Holi!” This celebration is meant to honor and bring awareness to a fun tradition that a big cultural group at our school holds dear.

In order to participate please:

1) Fill out this form by Monday, March 14

2) Pay $3 to Mrs. Ancer.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to Canopy of NWA along with the proceeds from the Carnations and Jeans day in order to support refugees arriving to the area at this time from Afghanistan.

Parents: We would love to have some parent volunteers to help and explain about the tradition or donate rangoli/color powder if your family celebrates it! Please feel free join us or to contact Mrs. Ancer for more information.

Thank you for your support!
