This year’s issue of Haas Hall’s award-winning literary magazine, “Footnotes,” is now available for purchase at your campus. We are celebrating our scholars’ fantastic creative work with a release party! Join us on Friday, January 24, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Rogers campus for an evening of literature, music, and prizes. Scholars published in the magazine will read from their work. We will also have musical acts and a literary open mic competition judged by Haas Hall faculty, with prizes awarded to the top performers.

For this year’s release party, we are partnering with the Arkansas Community Foundation, an Arkansans nonprofit committed to improving our communities. Your entrance fee of $5 supports future issues of Footnotes, with 50% going to ACF. Those who purchase a copy of Footnotes at the door will be given free entry.

If you who wish to perform your work already published in Footnotes, participate in the open mic competition, or perform music, contact Mr. Henriksen at matthewhenriksen@haashall.org by Friday, January 17, and send a copy of or describe your performance. All performances must be approved in advance of the event.

Also, remember to submit your creative work to next year’s issue of “Footnotes” at haaslitmag@gmail.com. We accept poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and artwork. In the email, tell us the genre of your work and the name of your campus, please.
