The Northwest Arkansas Science and Engineering Fair was held on Friday, March 10 at the University of Arkansas. The NWARSEF, affiliated with the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), includes students and scholars from Baxter, Benton, Boone, Carroll, Crawford, Franklin, Johnson, Logan, Madison, Marion, Newton, Scott, Searcy, Sebastian and Washington counties.

Tianxin Li, from Haas Hall Academy – Fayetteville, competed and earned 1st Place in the Engineering: Materials and Bioengineering category. She also won the 2023 Ricoh Sustainable Development Award for the student whose research has demonstrated the principles and technical innovations that offer the greatest potential for sustainable development.
