Parents and Scholars,
All scholars should check their instructor’s Google classroom for assignments starting on Friday, March 13th and continuing until next Wednesday, March 18th. Assignments should be turned in to this program no later than 11:59PM each day in order for the scholar to earn credit and be counted for attendance. If you have forgotten your code for your instructor’s Google classroom, please email them directly for information. Instructors will provide guidance for the assignments through this platform. Scholars should check their email every day for updated course information. Instructors will be checking their email each day as well.
If you do not have Internet but are in an area where it is available, you might check into this Cox Communication program to see if you would qualify for reduced cost Internet access:
As Dr. Schoppmeyer stated yesterday in his announcement to everyone, March 30th is the target date for our return. However, if we are required to remain out longer, this method of online learning will continue, and scholars will be expected to go online every day and complete assignments. Scholars should not come to the school site. At this time, we have no information on ACT test dates and suggest that you monitor the news or their website for updates.
If you travel over Spring Break, we ask that you contact Nurse DeSpain via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and let her know where you have been. We strongly encourage everyone to reconsider any travel plans given this outbreak.
We’ve also heard that Marco’s Pizza in Springdale, Bentonville, Fayetteville and Rogers will provide a free meal to those who need assistance. All you need to do is let the cashier know you need the assistance and they will provide food at no cost.
We understand this is a stressful time for scholars and parents. This is an unusual situation that we have never experienced before, but we are committed to providing the normal Haas Hall Academic Learning to our scholars while keeping everyone as healthy as possible. Please email if you have any questions.
