The Project Prevent Youth Coalition Chapter at the Haas Hall Fayetteville campus will be sponsoring a Parent Night for all parents/guardians and faculty/staff members in the Haas Hall District. Information regarding this event is indicated below.
What: Parent Night – an event sponsored by the Project Prevent Youth Coalition in which parents/guardians have the opportunity to learn about vaping, tobacco, and alcohol use among teens; how to spot warning signs; and how to foster conversation with teens about drug and alcohol use. We will be joined by individuals from the Arkansas Department of Health, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, and Hidden in Plain Sight.
When: Thursday, February 27th from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Where: Haas Hall Fayetteville Campus
Why: Today’s youth are inundated with temptation, peer pressure, and stress. Often times, this may lead to unhealthy coping mechanisms, such as drug or alcohol use. This event is designed to assist parents/guardians and faculty in identifying these risk factors, and helping start crucial conversations to ensure the safety of teens.
For proper planning and pacing of the event, RSVPs are encouraged, but not required. To RSVP, simply email Dr. Binns ([email protected]) with the number of adults aiming to attend. We look forward to seeing you there!
