The mission of Special Olympics Arkansas is “to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.” Special Olympics Arkansas provides free services to individuals with disabilities because of generous donations and fundraisers. One of their biggest fundraisers is the Polar Plunge, which takes place at multiple locations across Arkansas.

HHAB Beta has raised over $500 to pledge, and now we’re asking parents and friends to match our gift or make a donation, if possible, so that more participants can join us. (The suggested donation amount for each participant is $50.) If you choose to support our efforts and Special Olympics Arkansas, please make your checks payable to “Special Olympics Arkansas.” Checks or cash donations should be turned into Mrs. Kate or Dr. Rod by Friday. You may also make donations online using the following link:
As always, thank you for supporting Haas Hall Academy, Beta Club, and our community!
