Pre-College Program Weekly Highlight: Washington University in St. Louis

Washington University in St. Louis is a private research university in St. Louis, Missouri. It is ranked the #19 school in U.S. News & World Reports 2019 Best National Universities. It is known for its top-ranked social work program as well as its highly-ranked business, law, medical, design and visual arts, and engineering programs.

Washington University in St. Louis offers two different summer experiences to high school students.

– Through their High School Summer Scholars Program, students have the opportunity to enroll in courses for credit and study alongside undergraduates. Students select from a broad range of stimulating introductory courses in the humanities, math, sciences, and social sciences. Students live on campus in top-ranked residence halls. In addition to coursework, students participate in specialized seminars, academic support groups, and a variety of weekend and evening social events.

– High School Summer Institutes combine traditional undergraduate class and lab curriculum with organized field trips, guest lectures, and small group activities in order for students to gain valuable academic and career experience. Students live on campus in top-ranked residence halls. In addition to coursework, students participate in specialized seminars and a variety of weekend and evening social events.
