Tax Free Weekend is upon us! Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2020, and ending at 11:50 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2020, the State of Arkansas will hold its sales tax holiday allowing shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain school supplies, school art supplies, school instructional materials, and clothing, free from state and local sales or use tax. While Haas Hall Academy does not have a standard school supply list, here are some items to consider picking up for your scholar heading into the upcoming school year
Personal hygiene: personal, travel-sized hand sanitizer and/or sanitizing hand wipes; lanyard to attach face mask; one face covering to wear and one face covering as back-up; sack lunch and/or personal snacks (if not ordering lunch); water bottle (water fountains will not be available); travel-sized tissues; other hygiene items, as needed.
Educational items: electronic device needed for classroom instruction (if not utilizing school computer); binder with divider tabs for each class and notebook paper for physical notes taken; personal pens/pencils; and personal calculator.
All Haas Hall schools will also be accepting PPE donations (e.g., disposable and reusable masks, face shields, gloves, hand sanitizer, tissues, disinfecting wipes). If you’d like to donate items, please contact your school for instructions on how to do so.
