The HHAB E-sports club has an announcement regarding the future of the club. The team has had a great season, but with the season’s end, we have decided to pivot in a new direction for the off-season. Our club is going to shift focus from a competitive club to a more social club.
To begin, we are going to start having weekly meetings with a short presentation at the start of each meeting. From there scholars will be allowed to socialize, play games together, and play single-player games. Once we get our feet underneath us, we are going to start hosting in-school tournaments for games like CS GO and Smash Bros. The doors are also now open to junior high scholars (7-8th grade). Our meetings are going to often be through a Google Meet or Discord call, although once we are allowed, we will begin having meetings in-person. Some of our presentations will be presented to both junior and senior high, although gaming time will be separated to 7-8th grade and 9-12th grade.
We are in the process of scheduling the exact dates and times for our meetings, but the meetings will be weekly. We also have a new Google Classroom for the club (see code below). Please keep it PG because junior high scholars will be on it along with teachers.
