Volunteers are needed to assist with the Fayetteville National Cemetery’s Roll of Honors May 22-24th. Volunteers will read in pairs for a minimum of 20 minutes, but they can read longer if they want to. The reading of the 11,000 names laid to rest will take approximately 30 hours over the 3-day period. The Roll of Honors occurs once every five years. The purpose of this event is to read every name out loud to help ensure that no Veteran, or their loved ones who are laid to rest at Fayetteville National Cemetery, are forgotten.
A copy of the press release regarding the event is attached and a link to the online registration can be found in the press release, but I am also copying the link here. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040f49afa629a4f58-roll
