Scholars of Haas Hall Academy are expected to attain a 95% attendance rate.
Successful scholars are present for class. Due to the speed and depth of which subject matter is covered, scholars cannot afford to miss class. Carnegie units are completed by semester—not by the year. One instructional day at Haas Hall Academy is approximately equal to two traditional school days. Scholars and their parents are informed of expectations prior to the beginning of the school year regarding policies and procedures.
Scholars will graduate from Haas Hall Academy with mastery in mathematics, science, English and a foreign language
Scholars at Haas Hall Academy complete courses by the semester not by the calendar year. Haas Hall Academy utilizes block scheduling. Faculty develop prescriptive pedagogy techniques to enhance scholar progress or remediate a scholar’s weakness so that improvement is noted each academic year.

Haas Hall Academy, paired with its rigorous curriculum and demanding class schedule, encourages and influences students to constantly consider their daily approach to school and life.
Scholars develop the capability for positive and effective inter-personal relationships
Parents are involved as learning and teaching partners. They are brought into the classroom on a regular basis to work with the students to develop relationships and their required participation in community-based activities reinforces the learning and practicing of professional and respectful behaviors.
Scholars understand and exhibit respect, discipline, empathy, responsibility, good work habits, perseverance, honesty and integrity as a result of the environment
Scholars comply with a disciplined code of conduct and expectations regarding daily behavior and participation. Scholars and parents are informed of the expectations prior to the beginning of the school year regarding policies and procedures.
Scholars understand and put in use the elements of time management in their daily work
Successful time management is an integral part of being a successful scholar. Scholars at Haas Hall Academy are taught effective and efficient time management skills. Haas Hall Academy will stress the importance of utilizing a daily planner, electronic or otherwise, or other calendar to prepare for the entire academic semester before it begins. Scholars are required to attend classes on time and tardiness is not tolerated.
Scholars required to take the ACT and SAT each year of high school
All scholars of Haas Hall Academy are required to take national standardized tests to prepare them for their careers in colleges and/or universities. Requirement of the tests emphasizes the importance of successful standardized test taking. Scores will be utilized to track scholar progress are reference tools along with school performance in the development of an College Academic Plan (CAP) for each scholar of Haas Hall Academy
Scholars participate in community services and activities as a part of the educational process
This element is critical to building character and responsibility in students through the act of service/leadership. Scholars, faculty, administration and parents participate in designated community projects, both as groups and individually.
Scholars participate in regular mental and physical activities designed to keep them mentally and physically fit
Scholars of Haas Hall Academy have at their disposal “executive sports,” which consist of golf and tennis. Haas Hall Academy also offers competitive cross country, track, basketball and bowling.
