YMCA Youth Cabinet Program

This spring, the YMCA is excited to launch our YMCA Youth Cabinet program, offering high school students (grades 9-12) a platform to lead and advocate on the policies and issues important to the youth of Arkansas.

During their year-long term as a member of the Arkansas YMCA Youth Cabinet, student members work with youth leaders from across the state to develop a youth policy agenda and advocate for legislation that advances their agenda:

Participate in 3 virtual cabinet meetings throughout the year (fall, winter, and spring).
Collaborate with cabinet members to develop a youth policy agenda for your state.
Develop and implement an advocacy strategy that advances your policy agenda.
Present your policy agenda to state officials and legislators.

Applications are now open for students interested in joining the Arkansas Youth Cabinet for the 2022-23 school year, with selected members announced in late April:
