COVID-19 Communication

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, Haas Hall Academy enacted eLearning beginning on March 16. All courses continued to meet for the remainder of the Spring term. Haas Hall Academy’s approach to grading and assessment remained at the college preparatory expectation while providing greater flexibility for assignment completion during the unusual time. When calculating final grades, faculty were encouraged to consider the extenuating circumstances and grades deemed appropriate for course completion.

In conjunction with the Arkansas Department of Health and the Arkansas Department of Education guidelines set forth in the Arkansas Ready for Learning initiative, the Haas Hall Academy District Support Plan has been designed to return scholars to school for the 2020-2021 academic year. The design of this plan took into consideration all key components of the Ready for Learning initiative: Students, Academics, Human Capital, Student Support, Stakeholder Communication/Family & Community Engagement, District Operations & Fiscal Governance, and Facilities and Transportation.

This guide serves as a resource for parents, guardians, caretakers, scholars, faculty and staff. The details of the document are subject to change as directives from the Governor, Arkansas Department of Education, and Arkansas Department of Health are adjusted due to new information and developing conditions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Haas Hall Academy District Support Plan has been approved by the School Board. All resources and communications related to COVID-19 are posted on the Haas Hall Academy website
